I strive to create a space where you have the ability to heal from your past and the freedom to pursue a life worth living. As a therapist, I want to help you explore the connection between your emotions, thoughts and behaviors. Whether you come to my office in Duvall, or prefer video therapy, we will work together to help you achieve your goals.
Through compassion, encouragement, radical honesty and humor, we will collaborate to find tools, techniques and skills to help you foster new growth in your life. Psychotherapy is a journey that promotes authenticity and inspires change, two opposing experiences that can exist at the same time. My goal as your therapist is to meet you in the space of holding both, helping you feel understood and supported no matter what challenges you are facing.
I work with individuals ages 13+, specializing in life threatening behaviors, bipolar disorders, and anxiety disorders including OCD. I have a passion and training in working with addicts and the people who love them. Prior to my career in mental health, I was a certified personal trainer and competitive athlete. With my training, I use a holistic approach to address the whole self- mind, body and spirit while also using evidence based strategies and protocols to help my clients achieve their goals.
Marykate is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Mental Health Professional (MHP), and has received extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
